Katy 12.jpg

short bio

Katy has a history of theater, starting in New York ranging from workshops at NYTW such as "Bone Songs" (an intimate work of Andre Gregory) to regional, such as working at Chautauqua during the summer under Ethan McSweeny and Vivienne Benesch.  Favorite regional work was Honey in "Who’s Afraid of  Virginia Woolf".  She enjoyed making people laugh. Katy training started in NYC with the Actors Center (Earle Gister, Chris Bayes, Catherine Fitzmaurice, Slava Dolgechev - among others) and the Shakespeare Lab at The Public Theater. Currently she is with Gregory Berg for acting and Killian for commercial. In LA, she is a proud member of Pacific Resident Theater and has worked on numerous projects, of which the latest was, “What We Are Up Against” by Theresa Rebeck where she was Janice, who played by the rules until the rules changed and she imploded. Katy is a visceral actress and is encouraged to expand her presence on TV and Film.  She has most recently been personally captured by the un-housed population in LA and has been documenting personal stories, entitled NIMBY.
